Rosies BBQ Griller

Rosie's BBQ has catered two lunches at the office recently. The second time they returned by "popular demand." This surprises me, because I wouldn't necessarily say that their food was all that popular with anyone that I dined with that day for free lunch.

Perhaps the confusion lay in the difference between a delicious but costly lunch and a not so delicious but free lunch.

Anyway, Rosie's served us chicken (dry), salad (lackluster), mac and cheese (there was just something about this that made me think of warm playdoh), and garlic rolls. I was sad that I did not take two of the warm garlic rolls. They tasted as though they had just hopped out of a warm oven.

And those rolls are the only reason I didn't bring my lunch the second time Rosie's came calling. But I can't base a restaurant on its bread alone. Perhaps the trip to the restaurant will come up stronger than their catering. Maybe chicken is not their forte--I've been to plenty of bbq restaurants that boast great meats and make them all better than the little white bird called chicken.
