After just having walked the dog while visiting in Burbank, I was starving as I drove past Eat ‘n Park on that sunny but brisk Saturday morning in late December. It looked like the perfect place for a hearty omelet; after all, its sign said: Best Omelet in Burbank. So I made a u-turn and pulled in.
Its name is somewhat mysterious. In contrast to what its name implies, one doesn’t eat before one parks. Rather you do what you normally do: you park your car and then eat! Eat ‘n Park does not boast upscale décor, fancy menu items, or a cloyingly friendly wait staff. It is informal and comfortable, the food is plentiful and tasty at reasonable prices, and the servers are extraordinarily efficient.
I devoured the Chef’s Omelet and enjoyed every bite, and my server kept the coffee coming. The omelets for two looked as though they contained at least a dozen eggs. So if you’re hungry and looking for a hearty meal without paying an arm and a leg, drop in at Burbank’s Eat ‘n Park where you do in fact park before you eat (and eat well!).
